Big daddy biscuits
Now this is a quick, super easy biscuit recipe that I got from my brother in law Quinton and sister in law Lana.
They are SO delicious and my girls love them!
The recipe yields 12-15 biscuits depending on the size of the cookie cutter you use. You can easily double this recipe, which I do frequently!
BIG DADDY BISCUITS
2 cups flour 1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt 1 tbsp sugar
1/3 shortening 1 cup milk
Preheat your oven to 425F.
Mix/knead together the ingredients in a large bowl. Roll out dough onto a lightly floured surface. You can use a rolling pin, but for a single batch, I just flatten out the dough with my hands. Roll out till it’s about 1/4in thick. Cut out biscuits with a cookie cutter.
Bake 13-15 minutes.
Cooking times will vary depending on the type of oven you have. Being that I have to cook on a propane stove now, I have to cook at 400F for 13 minutes.
The finished product!! They’re super light & flakey!!
I hope you enjoy!!
